I have been designing and building with natural materials across the UK and further afield for the last 15 years and my journey into clay plasters started whilst building my own hempcrete house…..

……I was looking for a clay plaster that was robust, simple to use, sourced from the UK and contained only natural materials. I couldn’t find one, so I set about making my own.

Years of very interesting research, experiments and trials narrowed my mixes down to a few basic ingredients, the ratios of which I further refined with site trials during my various building projects until I was confident, they were right.

My intention was to use these plasters for my own builds but people who had worked alongside me began requesting the plasters for their own projects, soon word spread further, my plasters were being requested by all sorts of people all over the country and abroad!

I had accidentally become a plaster producer!

Clay-Wall fund for Earth Building

I work with a charity called Ebuki, they foster earth building in the UK and Ireland and were instrumental in sparking my interest in earth building. At Ebuki it can be a struggle to find consistent forms of funding…. I had an idea; why not use my plasters to help fund Ebuki and other worthwhile earth building projects?

50% of profits go to the Clay-Wall Fund for Earth Building, which Ebuki and other worthwhile earth building organisations can apply to for funding.
